Quality Freshwater Barramundi
Barra DownUnder is a locally owned and operated freshwater Barramundi farm nestled on the pristine Cassowary Coast, Far North Queensland, just minutes from the Great Barrier Reef.

We take pride in producing premium-quality Barramundi through exceptional farming practices. Our ponds are stocked lightly, the water quality is carefully maintained, and every fish is hand-fed daily. Their diet consists solely of high-grade fish meal and fish oil, ensuring natural nutrition that results in visibly healthy fish: showcasing bright silver scales and golden-yellow fins.

In addition to our farm-raised Barra, we also offer a selection of premium Australian seafood, all locally sourced from trusted professional fishermen along our coastline.
From the reef to our ponds, every product we supply is Australian grown, sustainably sourced, and handled with care.

Freshly Caught to Order
• Whole Fish - $17 per kilo
​(Most Whole Fish average 1-2 kg)
• Fillets Skin On or Off - $41 per kilo
• Cryovaced for your convenience
Barramundi Fishing
• $50 per hour for adults
• $40 per hour for kids
• All Rods and Lures are included
• Catch and release OR Catch and keep
($17 per kilo for whole fish, cleaned on-site for you)
• What to bring (optional): wide brim hat, sunscreen, mozzie spray, sunnies, camping chairs, water bottles, umbrella

At Barra Down Under, we like to keep things simple and stress-free. We understand that plans can change, especially with travel and weather in Far North Queensland. If you need to cancel your booking, no worries.
We don’t charge any cancellation fees.
We just ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust our schedule. You’re always welcome to rebook for another day that suits you. Our goal is to make your experience with us easy, enjoyable, and hassle-free from start to finish.
